Today rephotographs are often used in (social) media to illustrate current events
like natural and human made disasters. These disasters can be flooding, earthquakes
or wars. In this context rephotography is mostly used to illustrated the
negative effects of the disaster. Below are some example rephotographic
compilations from the last years.
2022: Russian invasion of Ukraine
